Some of my videos are too big(over 30 megs) and was told I could compress them and then upload them, any hints?

What program are you using ?The more you compress the worse they look.

What format are you rendering in? Generally if you start out with High Quality wmv. and go to medium quality wmv. it won't look too bad and should compress it enough to make it fit.

I am using windows movie maker and have been finishing them in the high quality but I do not know how to compress the file to make it smaller.

You can use Windows Media Encoder to compress you already rendered videos. It comes free on most Windows computers. It is located under Windows Media on your START menu.

I wouldn't go lower than 500 kbps when compressing videos.
