The comments below were recently left on a video that contained footage of dogs attacking a wild hog. Although the appropriateness and humanness of the footage can be argued, I will not tolerate people being hateful and mean on this site.

If you see something you disagree with, report the video to me and I will look into it! DO NOT LEAVE NEGATIVE, HATEFUL, MEAN comments that do nothing but instigate a fight.

Aditionally, everyone needs to remember that just because YOU don't agree with something doesn't mean that your way is right. Be understanding. Again, if you see something you don't agree with, report it to me.

Lastly, DO NOT USE CURSE WORDS ON THIS SITE! ...Not even in a hyphenated form. No explanation is needed here. Just don't use them.

I have 2 say that just cuz u don't agree with using dogz 2 hunt hogz...doesn't mean u need 2 talk trash on it...hogz are feral critterz...that do alot of damage 2 the enviroment...ALOT...like over grown ratz...ever seen what it lookz like when they've hit someonez corn, bean or peanut feild??...like a bulldozer went through...a herd of pigz can take out 30 acres in a nite...they will attack people simply walkin a trail...& if itz one of your kidz in the woods no doubt a fiesty boar will make short work of your child with itz cutterz...they are mean as hell, were not talkin about Wilber of Scarlets Web people!!...anywayz hogz are tough as nailz & not as cruel as it might appear...not like the dogz are on Bambi & tearin it up...or a real defensless critter...many a dog have been killed by boarz...quite often actually...& the dogz aren't killin the pig or rippin it apart...they bay it...the catch dogz hold it till the hunter getz their then itz over...& one thing is that the hog will be dead without a doubt...can't tell me that anyone that huntz anything...hasn't wounded an animal & never actually kill it & it diez a slow painful death...or crippled it etc...or isn't that cruel in your eyez??

it was taken off the board...it showed dogz on a hog & the dogz had it caught etc...then the hunter stickin it with a knife...so people thought it was cruel & unsporting...

When I went to Hawaii years ago I was told that's the way it was done with a knife or a spear I believe something to do with proving manhood. I guess not really much differant that shooting one with a broadhead.

I'm sorry fellas , where I come from thats not hunting.(nuff said on that).

Our rights to hunt are constantly being challenged by organizations like P.E.T.A. & Animal Rights Coalitions.

Its these type of videos that they take to their public forums where they get a lot of public support.Most of the public can accept the fact that we hunt. But lets not give those opposed to hunting any more ammo to threaten this wonderfull sport we call hunting. Thank you

It's acually hunters like you who give the antis their fuel "where I come from thats not hunting.(nuff said on that)". . Our rights are being challenged every day and everytime hunters disagree amongst themselves the antis win. It's sad, traditional bow hunters against compound users, compound users against crossbow users. Gun hunters against dog runners. When is the fighting amongst ourselves going to stop? Stop spending time on arguing with each other and focus on the real problems.
Just because you don't dove hunt doesn't mean you shouldn't care if they take away dove season. Because the next season they go after will be one that you do care about.
Stop complain about other hunters who take game within the confines of the law and support one another!!!!

well, thats something that i'd like to talk about. if you cannot say something nice, dont say anthing. in the past, more than one, ok many people here have said some hurtful things to videos posted. if you read what is in the rules that will give you a good giude to go by, and that is be nice. if it is something that will help the person, like too much wind, or too shaky, ect, that will help. i have yet to post anything as far as videos, but will soon i hope. i'm sure that somebody will not like all of it. thats part of the game. this is the only site that lets hunters reach out with there own work, there own time and money to show people that we love this sport. the death of the pray to me is sad. i will respect the game, and the rights of others at all times. when the killing starts, the fun stops. now the true work is at hand. the time spent hunting is the fun part. so do not tell somebody that golf will be a better thing for him or her to do. this is his time to try to relate his or her joy or somtime failure. deer that i've seen here, i have shot better, some have made me dream, and wish someday that i too could hunt that. for each person that took the time to post what we see, is the true hunt of a life time.
each day we wake up with less land to hunt. and each day we wake up at the same time somebody will say hunting is no longer going to happen. it is important that we have things to look back on. as a hunter i understand that land makes money. i hate to see 300 homes go up on land that hunted years ago. i will find it nice to look at a video and recall that time and place. so be nice, and think. take good shots on the game, both with the weapon, and what ever it takes to put it here.

I find it incredible that people trash these videos. I just put one up and have two negative comments in just a couple of hours. What if every time a buck was taken from a tree stand people said hey, "that’s not fair deer don't look up much"”or "you took that Buck, Mulley, Elk from 300 yards where's the challenge". I have heard all this and so much more. Hogs in many locations have gone nocturnal; others are in such heavy brush you could never find then. Let's get rid of the awesome bird dogs, no more using calls for predators, Elk, grunting for Bucks, and no more attractants like food plots or bait sites.

Hunters who don't support my right to hunt my way as long as it's legal are the biggest problem the hunting community faces today. Death almost always comes from within! BROTHERS!

Now that would make a GREAT Clip - - But probably not necessary, I thought your Hog Vs Novice was a good one too, haven't watched the ram one yet, but I am about to. Those who appreciate your efforts would like to see more.

It is really just 2 folks doing it. The Mods put up with it, for reasons that escape me. I no longer recommend people to post their stuff here. To much abuse. The last two folks I sent here were both insulted. In all my time here I don't believe I have ever given less than an 8. I have watched some bad stuff and clips that I just plain didn't understand. I just click on to the next one.

Buff, I am with you. It is getting old having to defend myself and hear stuff from people. I am not sure it is worth listening to it anymore. I never push my views or way of life on someone elses but, they just can't help but tell me theirs. What is a shame is that I have a potential new world record animal taken legally and under their guidelines and category and people still have to jump on me. Other sites are more friendly, I think I will just stick to them. What is frustrating is that in one year I have loaded over 50 videos and had over 50,000+ views and I may get beat down by someone that is never even posted one single video. My videos may have not been enjoyable to everyone but at least I tried to contribute to the site and give something for people to watch.

I have apprectiated Peyton for iniviting me and the help I got from the mods. It has given me a whole new meaning to hunting..the video. It is my new hobby and I love it. It is a shame that I have to get beat down for it. I am not leaving I will just observe but throw no rocks from the bleachers like others do. Love watching Bowana, Buff and Wildworks. Like the company of you Aussie and some others.

Buff, I am going to do it the way you do by creating your own site and uploading videos on to it. I have my domain but am working on the site now. It is called exoticarcher.com Imagine that. ; )

Lance and Buff....Bear with me for a minute. These kinds of issues is exactly why there is, or was, the Number One Rule here at HF.com.

That rule was written back in 2003 and was respected for most of the site's history. As we've grown, the rule has been ignored more and more often. It is our job as admin and moderators to enforce this rule, and lately we have not done a very good job. We lost 2 longstanding members this season, and now I read that Buff wouldn't recommend this site for posting videos. Again, these effects of people ignoring the rules is exactly why we have the NUMBER ONE RULE!

I am working on a solution to fairly enforce the rules, and a penalty system for rude or inflammatory behavior is the likely solution. On top of that, I'm hiring a few new deputies.

It's time for our members to be accountable for their actions and comments and RESPECT the rules and their fellow hunters.

hey lance, buff, dont give up yet. you still have friends [alot] here. love the work that you both do. give the site time to work its way out. there will always be somebody that thinks different than the way you do. i think that payton started this site for the responce that he received from youtube. look into that site. and what is said to the hunters. this place does have some controll. think of it almost as a crank call from years ago. just kids. i have met men from this site, andrew black, and his sons. i write to arron, and hunters in china, all fine men. payton, pick a place that we can go and air out the differences, and all come together. thanks for the time.

Okay, everyone needs to realize that this is a public website and if you put your hunts on here for the world to see, not everyone is going to like them. If a comment isnt pointed out to us as rude, then it might slip by. I have deleted hundreds of them, but probably have missed a few. Its difficult to deal with all the different view points and feelings. Dang, I think my feelings are hurt now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really have anything that hasn't already been said, but I will say please don't punish people like me by not posting your videos here because of a few ignorant people! I posted three videos this year just to run home after work to see if people like Buff & Lance left me a message! After all that's the only reason I recorded the hunts just to return the favor. So I will now say the famous HF words KEEP 'EM COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buff and Lance I want you to continue to post and be here at h/f because I enjoy watching you Buff shoot your recurve bow I admire your skill and shot placement and look forward to watching your videos.

Lance you have shown me animals that I have never saw and that I may not have seen if it had not been for your love of the exotics I especialy like this latest video I have never even known that these animals exsisted and they are very beautiful.

I have never taking an animal from a fenced in area or a ranch,over bait,etc,but I do not confuse my love of the way i choose to hunt with the passion of the way you all love to hunt.

Lance I saw your excitment and happiness over this animal and I can say that I have never been more excited than what excitement i saw in your eyes and face after I have harvested an anmial in the way I hunt......

Buff I also watched you make an excellent shot on the biggest whit tail you have ever harvested and it was a shot that I have watched at least 5 or 6 times because of the way you where sitting just great and to add to it of course with your recurve,and again your excitement and joy was as great as any I have found in my harvests....

I said this once before and now I say it again..........

Alot who complain of others hunting methods like feeders and fenced areas,,,do not realise that if you get rite down to it that this is not the only way to make the hunt a bit easyer by adding advantage to harvest an animal......to me if you dont hunt over a feeder,or fence,etc,,,,but still you use cover sent,,,a tree stand,,,or hunt an area near to farm fields of food,,,,then it is no different than hunting over a feeder to draw them,,that is to me........When I hunt,,,I use no cover sent,,,,I do not use a blind,,,,,I do not use a tree stand,,or a climber,,,,,So then should I blast those who do hunt from a tree stand like Kyle (wildworks) or Lee (Bowana) because they do use a tree stand ? No is my answer..I should not..it is there right to choose,my blind is a hi grassy area,or if at the right time tall growing 7 bark with low limbs,maybe i will find a tree that has a forked area that i can climb into to sit on a wide limb or lean against with no help from any ladder etc.....

Because every man has a right to hunt as they choose,so i am old fashoned in my method,and you may not be,we both harvest and we are both happy with our harvest,we both eat,we both give to the needs of others around us,I harvested 3 animals this year just for those who can not go for themselves but still love deer meat..I have never herd of the group that Lance gives to,but the Pastor in our community who never gets to hunt because of his coal mining job and his church that takes all of the rest of his time,sure enjoys the deer I harvest for him every year,,so then we both give to some one who needs something,,

I love to watch Kyle and Lee`s videos they are awsome hunters and maybe even better video creators,I love these exotics of Lances I love to watch Buff make that widow maker a deadly weapon,,,and I do not use some of all your methods,,,yet I love to walk into the woods just me,my bow or gun,and with pure will and instinct harvest an animal,to us all I say well done.....

You don't have to rate something you'd never do yourself a 10 or even rate it at all. Just don't cuss and trash em or leave the dreaded 1 rating.

Boss, theres a warning system below everyones forum avatar. That may be a good place to start. Would be nice for it to follow you around the site though.

Please don't misunderstand me. I don't plan on quiting the site. I don't even blink when someone doesn't like my stuff. What I'm whining about is stuff like the clip a fellow posted of hunting deer with dogs. It was most likely his first attempt at posting anything. his third response was someone telling him he needed to learn to hunt. I tell folks to post their stuff here and then they can show all their friends at work or whoever their clip just by sending them a link. They edit there video, most likely
poorly and put it up. If some egomaniac posts something rude, they don't want their friends and family reading it. So they don't send out the link.
There is just no reason to be rude. Everyone has a pet pea that trips their trigger. Mine is folks shooting past their ability to cleanly kill the animal BUT I never trash someone for a poor shot or a miss.

Bowana you are the best diplomat on the site. You always seem to come up with something nice to say whether you rate the clip or not. I like your style.

I think (like I said 1.5 years ago) that the 1-10 system should be eliminated completely.......Whats the point? Almost every video on this site gets a 10 weather or not it has a story line, transitions, b-roll, impact shot, hero shot (with multiple angles) ,great audio, and smooth pans (just to name a few).....I for one dont put videos up here to see what people will rate em.... I put em up for friends to enjoy.....I think the 1-10 system breeds this behavior we're discussing.

Well said Billy, I would love to go hunt with you the way you do it. I think you would have a blast stalking on a pig in its bed sleeping. It is the same but different if that makes any sense? I am going to keep on keeping on. I appreciate your offer Bowana. If everyone was as positive as you are there would be no problems.

i hope that all will be back to the way it was last week. each hunter that takes the time to harvest, then go back home and put the event for all to see, i say thank you. myself, i do not know how to do this yet. not that i am a pre-school drop out. time is the key factor for me. ask all that take the time to place the hunt of a life time here. it may be there first, it may be there one hundred. how long did it take to do it? what was used to put it up? is this your first try? and this can go on untill you do it yourself. ask questions, rather that making the statement of a poor shot, you did use corn, you call that hunting from a high fence, or is that from a farm. and the list can go on untill you run out of words. i do not think that any one person is better than all, or the person that never puts up anything at all. we are all hunters. how many of you have been hit in the head with a thorn bush running after a hog? then you still must get up and get after the bay hound? i cannot hunt deer with dogs in this state. but it can be done in others. is this something that i feel is not sport? no. your land, your way of hunting. i do not say it can not be done that way.
hunting is a way of life that is different in all parts of this world. a trap, a bow, or fish net. the outcome is the same. to harvest the game.
in my work, if i do the best that i can, and it takes hours to get thru the job, do you think that this man is happy when a background worker will come to me and say " i did the same thing last week, and you did it the way i do not like" now thats the difference between work, and free time. my hunt time is for free. come to think of it, has any one been payed to post here? no, its something that we do for free. and thats what hurts. what does the program, and software, cables, sound systems, battery, and all the things that i have yet to discover have on the finsh price? alot. but yet it is not good enough for all.

Lance im sure you would love to go on a hunt like that with me you would enjoy the challange and reward of the Mountians,your welcome to go on a hunt with me this year in Easten Ky if you would like im sure it would be fun and I have plenty of hunting area all wild and private owned land except for one strip i like to hunt it is public but not over pressured somr great bucks up their.

Also I think I would realy enjoy a hunt like that.I have herd those hogs in the guys videos making their rooting sounds and when two bors where fighting over a sow they sounded ferocious and intence man i got a rush just from the sounds in Kyles last video LoL I have never hunted for hogs we do not have any here in our area and their are very few over in Tn in the areas I know so it just has not been available to us,but yea I know I would love a hog stalk with the mathews in hand..no doubght..

I am with the button on the screen to report negative stuff that the mods can decide if it is appropriate or not. If they get so many hits from people then delete their IP address. Some maybe on here with a low post count just to harrass people like you get on Youtube. I am for free speech. Not everyone can leave a descent comment like Bowana or Aussie. I feel sorry for some that get bashed for one of their first attempts at this and then get turned away from sticking with it. I have got great ideas from watching BUff's, Wildworks, Bowana, etc. I have learned a bunch and want to continue this new found addiction.

I think if we lead by example maybe others will follow suit. If you need more mods I would be glad to help. I am on this site everyday. It is a shame that a few can spoil it for the rest. I like to get exposed to other peoples ways of doing things and may learn something. Never could understand why people who love the same thing can disagree so much on how to do it. I have never been offended by watching one video on this site. But, I am Exotic Archer baby I swing outside the box. ; ) I think you all are great and have been blessed to take part of this. This will all work out. I have faith.

Lance you can report a nasty post in the video section. Its on the bottom right of the post you want to report. It looks like a red and white triangle with an exclamation mark in it.
I kinda wish the warning meter like here in the forum avatars followed everyone around. May be to much of an upgrade though. I'm sure the Boss will figure something out.

i understand how Buff feels. the whining and bashing of clips gets old real fast. cause some don't have the same hunting practices and ethics as others, don't make them less of a hunter!! and some even complain of clip quality, not speaking of picture quality in a whole, but filming, editing,story line, etc.... I think some forget that not all folks have the same experience and the funds to spend on high end cams and equipment, i think allot of folks restrain from posting clips for this reason, and lots are pushed away, and i ask myself this often, is this still a amateur hunting site???...i'm open minded to comments that inform on how to improve filming and such, but no need to bash someone cause some clips aren't at par with more experienced guys. But that's just my opinion!!

Ya'll need to just chill out. When dealing with this large of a crowd, if there is one thing I have learned while running a hunting club is that you will never make everyone happy. As long as you have no problem going to sleep at night don't worry about what others have to say. I think I have been bashed just as much as anyone else on this site but, I'm still going to keep posting vidoes till the boss stops me. Remember what your mother told you when you were a kid ( sticks and stones my broke my bones but names will never hurt you )

I'm the fellow that they say has to learn how to hunt. I have been hunting all my life (I'll be 50 years old friday) and I learned from my father who learned from my grandfather who learned from my great grandfather (a great american indian) the art of hunting deer with dogs. If the american indians don't know how to hunt I don't know who does. It was a matter of life or death to them!
One thing I have learned over the years is that when hunting with a shotgun and buckshot It's no way of telling if each or even one pellet is going to give you a clean kill. I have shot deer at 10 yards and had them get away I have also shot them at 100 yards and droped them in there tracks. It only takes one pellet in the right place to kill a deer but with all them pellets the odds are real good. I do know one thing. Less fataly wounded deer get away when running dogs than when we bow or blackpowder hunt without dogs. This is based on all the hunt club members not just me personally.

i agree. man, there sure are some sensitive fellows in here. compared to a lot of other internet forums, the language and overall "atmosphere" on this site is very polite and friendly, even the "disagreement" name calling is tame. with such a broad audience, there are always going to be differences in opinion, as we all love our sport and have grown up doing it different ways. i personally dont mind hearing peoples' opinions. who doesn't like to debate something that they are passionate about? the only thing is... when you are losing your debate, just dont resort to name calling, it's classless and makes it more evident that you've lost the arguement. i highly doubt, (as suggested a few posts ago) that any comments posted on here, (especially if they are off-based and blatantly idiodic), are going to have any bearing on how someone chooses to hunt and whether or not they decide to film their hunts. if you are to the point of filming yourself hunting, you're most likely an experienced hunter, and well intrenched in your ways. that said, ratings arent necessary, imho.
