I had been using the Windows Movie maker to convert my avi files to wmv and was able to pick a bit rate from 300 to 1000 for my files to make them as small or large as I wanted them. Now with service pack 2 for windows you automatically get Windows Movie Maker 2.1 which has a new default capture setting that is a constant bit rate which appears to be over 800. I see no way to change this, so does anybody know what other programs I can use to adjust the size of my wmv files?
