IM USING THE WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER,IM GETTING VIDEO FINE BUT NO AUDIO.IVE TRIED THE LINE IN AND NOTHING,MIC NOTHING CANT FIGURE IT OUT.IM USING A HI 8 SONY TRV-608 ANY IDEAS?

You have to have an audio output plug to the pc I believe , at least with pinnacle 9 I do. If using the usb I'm not to sure what needs to be done.I have to hook up the s video and a sepperate audio output to get the audio to my pc using a trv67. I have a 608 also but never use it to transfer video because if I remember right I had the same issue as you.

I'll try to help but you need to know that I have ZERO experience with Windows Movie Maker.

I had a similar problem once when I was trying to capture footage from my camera to my computer using Vegas Video. As I recall, there was a setting in the capture process that said something like, "Capture Video Only". If you are positive you have all the audio cables hooked up correctly, start checking settings to see if there is something that might be checked (or not checked) that would prevent the audio from being captured.
