I imported some video to my hard drive on my computer and am now trying to upload/import that video onto movie maker and I am geting an error. Could someone please help me out here??
My Error reads: C:\Documents and Settings\Ricky\My Documents\My Videos\2009-04-13\MP_ROOT\101PNV01\Turkey Roy Interview.MPG could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from
What does that mean? What do I need to do differently to get this to work?
Thanks Ricky

Tracker I'm sure some one has it just might take a little longer for them to post a reply since the day's are getting longer and every one is spending time outside. 1 question are you using Vista or XP as your operating systeam. Vista does not seem to do as well with videos is the only reason I'm asking.

Your kinda vague on your question but if its an HDV MPG file, some versions of WMM doesn't work with them. If we had more information we may could help. For starters, what type of file are you working with and what operating system are you using ?
I did a quick search and found this. It may help ? ...Hope this helps !

Sorry for being vague guys...I am brand new to this. The camera I have that I'm having trouble getting to import video to Movie Maker is a Sony Handycam Hybrid (Hard Disk Drive) Model DCR-SR45. As far as system goes, I am running Windows XP.
Error Message is C:\Documents and Settings\Ricky\My Documents\My Videos\2009-04-13\MP_ROOT\101PNV01\Turkey Roy Interview.MPG could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from
I am able to import the videos into "My Videos" folder in my documents, but can't get the video clips over to movie maker so I can edit the video etc. What do I need to do...Please be specific I am a novice.
Thanks

It seems theres a codec issue with your version of WMM. I don't think it was made to edit an MPG file. Its a very basic program. If it were me I'd get a more advanced program. I'm using Video Studio Pro x2 and it edits MPG files fine. Papa John on this link knows more about it than me and has some great info on it. He says you can change your Mpg to another format and it works. He didn't mention that every time you change it, it degrades it, so like I said, I'd use another program. Others are adding the Matroshka 1.1.2 Full Codec Pack and then doing an on line update of it and theirs is working. I found out this by reading these links.
