i've downloaded the windows media encoder, but all that comes up is the set up icon in my documents, which I've run several times, it always says finished but nothing else ever comes up. I can not access the actual encoding software, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to install the Media Encoder software and you are having problems during this process or are you having problems while you are using the software?

Sounds like your expecting the program to open after you have downloaded it. I downloaded the program a while back, and it didnt open immediately. I looked in "All Programs" and found it there and clickity click and it opens. Hope that it what you are meaning.

No offense meant, but if you are having problems installing the software, using the software is going to be a biatch.

Need answer to encoder question...
As I convert my files to .WMV, all is well. As I start to save the file it is converted to a .WME file which cannot be used. I have checked the program to see if it can be changed...no luck.
Any ideas....
