If you want to sell your videos,(DVDs) you'll need to own your music. You can either make it or buy it.
I made some with Magix Music Maker in my earlier days but I buy mine now. This program is embedded in and part of my video editor.
When you lengthen or shorten the music tracks it doesn't chop it off like most music. Its like the band changes the beginning and ending of the track to fit the length.
One song has many variations. Its hard to explain but it kicks butt ! biggrin.gif

What if I am only posting on a website like this one? Can I use any music?

Not legally but you have to figure in what the artist is thinking. Is it going to be worth my time and money pursuing ?
Probably not unless he thinks theres money involved or its hurting his business a lot.
I think Freeplay music allows it as long as its not being sold or shown on TV. Check their contract. I'm pretty sure you have to sign it to use it. ...Hope this helps ! ..Lee

I use Cinescore a lot, and http://www.footagefirm.com/ has free music occasionally.
